DNA Restriction Site Finder

Built a Python bioinformatics application that analyzes DNA sequences to detect restriction enzyme recognition sites, predict cleavage positions, and simulate DNA digestion across 30+ common restriction enzymes.

Restriction enzymes recognise particular DNA patterns. A site finder makes those patterns easier to locate across a sequence and distinguishes recognition positions from cleavage positions.

The project identifies recognition sites and models cuts. It is an educational sequence tool; it does not establish whether a laboratory digest will succeed. Experimental conditions and sequence context still matter.
